20 Weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Halfway there! I hope the second half goes by faster than the first half.

2 more days until the ultrasound. I am pretty excited. I took an old wives tale quiz and got 8 out of 10 that it would be a girl. What do you guys think??

On an unrelated note, French class is going pretty well. I can now tell everyone that I meet that I am an American, you know, just in case they ask. I can also tell them what day of the week it is (though I am not sure I would understand if they asked).
We also get to move into our new apartment in 3 weeks, which I am super excited for.

And as much as I hate taking pictures (or even going out in public lately), here is the latest. Please ignore the leftover dinner containers on the table.
